It was a cold January morning at the crack of dawn in Manchester. The temperature was about 3° outside but I was still looking forward to my outdoor shoot with the fantastic Alex Wightman for Forever Imagery. I’ve been a fan of his work for some time and we had originally arranged to do a very industrial set type shoot, although that’s not exactly how it went, though I couldn’t be more pleased with the images, they are nothing short of incredible. These are the best shots I’ve done in recent times and I’m very proud of the work we did that day. Alex should be too, a lot of the beauty in these is in the retouching and they wouldn’t look nearly as impressive without his specialist touch added to them.

He has a great understanding of surroundings, locale and form. Also the more eccentric of his works are far from typical photography, that’s probably why I like them so much. I’m always up for something experimental, that pushes the boundaries of taste and decency and the results are shocking to the eye, playful, fun, twisted and beautifully dark.

I hope you like them as much as I do.

These last two are the most wild and twisted shots. The deep dark mind of Alex Wightman!
